Lool Eyewear
Peep was proud to be the first stockist in Australia of this exclusive label, when it was first launched in 2016 by a design team based in Barcelona. The first three lool collections were forged and inspired by the industrial design and architecture of their home city, as well as drawing on the art deco style of Miami and New York.
These frames hero the use of empty space to create bold, geometric lines that are retro-futuristic and delicate at the same time. Using Sandvik 11R51, an austenitic stainless steel, which is then coated with pure metals and hand-painted premium lacquers, each frame has a thickness of 0.5mm and a starting weight of 8 grams.
Since 2022, the collection has moved in different aesthetic directions, utilising a new bio-based BPA and BPS-free material called Cromalyt which is non-toxic to the end user and incorporating beta-titanium into their designs to maintain ultra-lightweight and corrosion resistant designs.
lool has redefined and redesigned existing screwless hinges on the market and all frames feature a screwless hinge design, which allows full motion without the use of pins or screws.
